About the Litter Index
The City of Coral Gables Litter Index is a tool to visualize and track the cleanliness of different areas within the city over time. The index is based on video surveys of various road segments, which are then scored based on the amount and type of litter observed.
How to Use This Application
- Explore the Map: The main map displays different zones and survey sites. You can pan and zoom to explore.
- Search: Use the search bar to find a specific address.
- View Videos: Use the "VIDEO PLAYER" sidebar to find and watch the survey videos for each site, organized by year and region. Hover over a site button to see its location highlighted on the map.
- Zone Information: Click on a colored zone on the map to see its name and get options to zoom in or view the corresponding videos in the sidebar.
- Legend: The legend on the right explains the map's colors and symbols.
- Tutorial: For a guided tour, click the "START TUTORIAL" button in the navigation bar. Please note that this feature is not available on mobile devices.
